Pamela Leland, PhD, Principal and Founder
Pam brings more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit/voluntary sector as a consultant, executive director, teacher, scholar and volunteer. Her experience as a consultant to nonprofit organizations began shortly after college when she began training volunteers who worked in volunteer-led shelters for homeless men, women and families in Atlanta, GA. Since that time, she has worked with local, regional and national organizations on a variety of issues but with the underlying purpose of building capacity toward greater mission achievement.
Pam completed her PhD in Urban Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Delaware. She has an MA in Holistic Spirituality from Chestnut Hill College, an MS in Urban Studies from Georgia State University and a BA in Journalism from the University of Georgia. She resides in Kennett Square, PA, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Hickman, a Quaker retirement community in West Chester, PA.

Karen M (“Renna”) Van Oot, JD, MSS, MLSP
Senior Associate
A former nonprofit executive for mental health and family service agencies in Delaware and Maryland, Renna currently is an attorney. She has worked primarily in the employment law and estate planning areas of practice. As part of The Leland Leadership Group, Renna develops and delivers workshops and staff training sessions of interest to nonprofit organizations. She also provides assistance with nonprofit tax status, by-laws, grant-writing, strategic planning and assists with other consulting projects. Renna has a BA from the University of Delaware, Master of Social Service (MSS) and Master of Law and Social Policy (MLSP) degrees from Bryn Mawr College, Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, and a JD from Widener University School of Law. Tinesar Forrest, MPA
Associate
Tinesar brings over 15 years of nonprofit experience to The Leland Leadership Group. As an executive director, program director and community development consultant, she has worked with a variety of organizations in St. Louis, Baltimore, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. After a BA from the University of Missouri/Columbia, she received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska/Omaha and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Missouri/St. Louis. After growing up in the Midwest, she now calls the East Coast her home.
Ken Witek
Ken brings more than 25 years of accounting and finance experience from the corporate world where he served in C.F.O. and Controllership positions. He has experience in all facets of accounting, financial analysis, strategic & operational planning, taxes, auditing, and systems development. Recently, Ken has been working with the nonprofit sector and small business in installing accounting systems, strengthening their accounting and financial controls, implementing reporting processes, and developing budgeting models.
He has a B.S. in Accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and received his M.B.A. from Drexel University. Ken is a Certified Public Accountant and currently serves as the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of The Hickman, a Quaker retirement community in West Chester, PA.
